A great business photoshoot starts before the camera comes out – with a little planning, a clear purpose and plenty of room for personality and fun.

Introducing Bronwyn – BFP Tax, Accounting & Advisory

Bronwyn is an accountant with a difference – and a great laugh!

When you meet her, it’s obvious she’s passionate about helping local business owners succeed.

More than just an accountant, Bronwyn provides practical advice, clear guidance and ongoing support, helping her clients feel confident about their finances so they can focus on running and growing their businesses. She sees the numbers as part of the bigger picture, taking the time to understand what her clients actually want from their business and their lives, then helping them create a plan to get there. She’s knowledgeable, down to earth and genuinely client-focused.

So how do you capture all of that in a business photoshoot?
You plan for it.

Before I pick up my camera, we start with coffee and a conversation. We talk about your business, your clients, the messages you want to communicate and how you want people to feel. From there, we create a plan, develop a shot list – sometimes complete with props! – and design a session that tells your story. The result isn’t just a handful of nice photos. It’s a gallery of purposeful images that communicate who you are, what you do and why people should choose to work with you.

For Bronwyn, that meant capturing both sides of her business: professional and knowledgeable, but also approachable, relatable and genuinely enjoyable to work with.

Tick tock! These images became a favourite for me.

When Bronwyn wants to remind clients that a deadline is fast approaching or let them know she’s available outside normal office hours, these are the photos she’ll reach for....

What you can’t see is Bronwyn laughing behind the clock face… and me laughing behind the camera. But I think you can feel it when you see the photo.

Bronwyn listens. She asks purposeful questions. And it feels great when someone is really listening to us, doesn’t it? So we captured that too.

And then there are the three furry members of the BFP team: Queen, the matriarch; Neeka, a little like a millennial entrepreneur; and Halo, who would rather be out being active than sitting in an office. They’re all an important part of Bronwyn’s team, so they became part of the photoshoot too.

What this creates is a collection of photographs that feel natural, relaxed and spontaneous – but none of that happened by accident. Because the best business photography isn’t just about getting a great headshot. It’s about creating photographs that look like you, tell your story and actually work hard for your business.

And, just like Bronwyn’s shoot, there’s usually plenty of laughter along the way!
